Danger
By Monica
It all started
on a glamorous spring day. No one knew what was about to happen
to us. As my friends and I trudged throw the freezing cold snow
stumbling over one another. We came to a creepy log . I went first
followed by Brittany.
Pictures of
the morning flashed throw my head, no snow on the ground all of
us laughing. Then I slipped grasping on tightly to the wet log hearing
Brittany screaming from below. I looked down at her lying in the
slush river water with tons of trees surrounding her. Then I remembered
her saying she couldn't feel her feet. So I just dropped, Splash.
Monica Nick yelled.
I looked at
Brittany again and said, "There's no way up." She just lay there
with tears flowing from her eyes. I yelled at Nick to go find a
way up the riverside.
After he ran
off I lifted Brittany up and sat her by the side of the river. She
asked me if I would get her out of there and I immediately said
yes before she could even Finish her sentence. Just then nick came
back gasping for air saying there was a way up about 20 ft. on the
right side I picked Brittany up and started to run I could feel
Brittany's breath on the back of my neck.
As I was walking
I wondered how we would get back across ...the log. I ran up the
hill and saw it, a huge rock bigger than I had ever seen before
in my whole life. I climbed it immediately to see if I could see
the trail. Which we had lost hours ago. The others fell down the
hill in to the river and ran up the other side. I didn't see a thing.
Then I slipped screaming loudly down the heavily iced rock hitting
my head on every jagged sharp rock.
Finally Poof!
The vast poof of the snow shot up in my face. Tasting like pine
and water, melting on my face. All I could see was the twilight
sky above me. As we trucked our way back down the hill we could
see the casinos all lit up. In the car we were all happy and relived
to be going home. A trip from 11:30- 8:00. What will my mom say?
