WOW! That's
Far Down
By Sean
The day I jumped
off of a 30 feet rock and I said WOW! That's far down. One day Iwent
to go to Angora Lake with some 3rd and 4th
graders. So we got into three cars and went to the lake. When we
got to the parking lot, theleaders said, "We are going hiking" all
the kids said "AWWWWWWWW." In the middle of our hike Tyson was
already tired so I gave him a piggyback ride up to the lake. When
we got to the lake all the kids ran to a certain spot and put their
stuff down and ran to a 10 ft rock, so I joined them on the 10feet
rock, except I had my stuff with me on the rock. Some other kids
did the same thing and brought all their stuff onto the rock and
laid it down and went jumping off into shallow end of the water.
Then all the kids saw some high schoolstudents jumping off a 30ft
rock. My friend Travis and I jumped into the water and ran to the
leaders Chris and Diana. We ask them if we can go to the rock as
we pointed
to the 30ft rock. The two of them said, "We have to sneak therebecause
our leader Giana won't let us go there."
So we took two
paddleboats and paddled to the rock. When we got there we had a
little trouble getting up. When we got to the top we looked down.
As my heart was pounding one of the high school kids said, "don't
worry its not that far down." My friend Travis and I were deciding
who should jump first. We did rock paper scissors. He won so he
picked. He said, "I going first."
I moved out
of the way, Travis backed up a little and ran, then jumped. As I
see him hit the water and I thought that hurt. But when he got back
up he said, "That was fun." As I was getting ready to jump Chris
and Diana stopped me. Then that's when I backed up and ran to the
edge and jumped. When I hit the water it felt like a ton of bricks.
When I got back up. Travis and I dared Chris and Diana to jump.
So when they were about to jump Travis and I was starting to laugh.
When they jumped, it started to thunder so they said, "hurry up."
Travis and I
took two steps back and ran to jump after we hit the
water we went
to the boats and got in. We started to paddle to shore. When we
saw a high school student jump off a 50 to 60 ft high rock. When
the leaders were starting to go to shore Diana fell off the boat.
So we stopped and picked her up and went to shore. That was the
day I jumped off a 30ft rock.
