Just as
I reached the goal I swung my leg sideways kicked the ball, right
as a girl that looked twice my size smashed right into my knee pushing
my hip the wrong way. The sharp and excruciating pain grew larger
and larger. I thought I could walk but I just fell to the ground.
Someone call 911 I heard as I laid on the ground shaking and crying.
The ref yelled,
"Coach come out on the field please!"
Then I heard
her say, "Holly the one time I let you play your favorite position
you go and hurt yourself really bad!" I tried to give her a
small smile through the pain but it barely came out.
"Is
she okay, Is she okay" I heard from the voices around me.
This made
me shake even more, then I heard someone yell, "Oh my god she’s
gone into shock and is hyperventilating!"
The ambulance
finally came they loaded me in, but that’s all I remember. Soon
I woke to the small sounds of beeps. There I sat in the hospital
with my sister and dad sitting quietly next to the bed. We sat there
in silence for about 15 minutes until the nurse finally came.
When she came
she said, "I’m sorry to tell you this but you have torn the
ligaments in your hip and you will be on crutches for a while and
you’ll have to go through physical therapy. But worst of all you
are going to be out of sports for quite a while."
"Okay,"
I said quietly a little bit shocked.
From there I
got in a wheelchair and they pushed me out to the car. Now I wish
that my house didn’t have as much stairs as it does!!!
